Edgebanding strips are tapes used to cover the edges of melamine boards. They are available in different colours, widths and thickness and are made from different materials

Edgebanding πάχος
The most important measurements are the thickness and width, as the length depends on the amount we use in the project. We can find widths of 19, 22, 25, 40 and 45 mm. It is important to note that the edgeing is always wider than the boards, which facilites installation and subsequent re-sanding.

Thin PVC edgebanding: the most economical edgebanding, recommended for protecting exposed edges of furniture.

Use thick edging strips on doors, countertops and any other areas that are subject to frequent rubbing or bumping. Always use thin plywood for interior trim pieces.
Do not use thin edging strips on screwed edges, as this will make screwing more difficult and will cause unnecessary expense.
